Our goal is to introduce students to mountain biking and trail riding in the New River Gorge! In this comprehensive course, students will explore and apply topics to enable safe, independent bike travel over a variety of terrain. We will focus on trail awareness and selection, choosing appropriate equipment, and basic bike maintenance and repair. Leave No Trace (LNT) principles, skills appropriate for the designated terrain, and information regarding natural resource management. By the end of the course, you will feel confident exploring new trails and taking care of your bike! In addition to confidence, all participants will receive a gift bag with cycling gear valued at $60!
