Women’s Weekend @ The Arrowhead Bike Farm With Sue Haywood and Erin Larsen

Come experience the laid back community of the Arrowhead Bike Farm and the beautiful New River Gorge trails with 2 days of riding, yoga, breaking bread and making friends at this women’s mountain bike retreat! This weekend is for women of all mountain bike abilities to improve their skills, have fun and make friends.

As a small intimate experience with a maximum group size of twelve, riders will have the opportunity to bond with new and old friends while practicing in a safe and supportive environment. Sure to be a powerful experience with one of the most renowned coaches and WV legend, Sue Haywood. Plus follow it up with a 2-hour yoga workshop with the one and only Erin Larsen and a whole weekend of bonding with camping, meals, yoga, and easy paced group rides.

Our clinics are organized progressively, to provide the right experience for everyone, from that first-time mountain biker to the 40-year singletrack veteran. We’ll tailor the clinic and teach skills based on each group and individuals’ experience level, wants, and needs.

Sue Haywood
Sue Haywood is an east coast mountain bike icon. Her mountain bike career was baptized in the mud bogs and slippery rocks of Canaan Valley, West Virginia. She raced professionally for many years at both the national and international level. She is a multiple time national champion and Pan American champ and excelled at both long endurance and short sprints. She still races on occasions, loving the exciting Enduro events. She is the 2019 Masters Enduro National Champion. She loves teaching mountain bike skills, especially to women and kids through day and weekend camps and private lessons. She is the creator of the Canaan MTB Festival and president of Blackwater Bicycle Association and the maker of HaySue’s Spicy Salsa. She is a combination of laid-back and tough. She believes the essence of mountain biking is being outside, moving our bodies, loving nature and riding with friends.
